Terlingua Trading Company & Book Store - The Trading Company boasts an extraordinary inventory of southwestern U. S. and Mexican influenced gifts and collectibles, including an outstanding book and map section.  Open 10:00am-9:00PM almost always.

Starlight Theater -This unique restaurant/watering hole is in the remains of the local movie theater constructed about 1930. Good steaks, wild game, and nightly special entrees fill the colorful regional menu. Live music almost every weekend and many weekdays during high season, and periodically throughout the entire year. The bar is open 5:00PM-12:00am, and until 1:00am on Saturday.  Dinner served from 5:30PM to about 9:30PM depending on the season.  Dress is always casual.

Leapin' Lizard Studio & Gallery - A handmade dry stacked stone studio dedicated to the works of serious local artists: metal workers, photographers, painters, sculptors, etc.  Hours are variable by season, so check the web site for current schedule or call.

The Boathouse Bar and Grill - is open from noon until midnight 7 days a week with sandwiches, salad and a respectable variety of domestic and imported beers and wines. The boathouse patio has the best view of the Chisos in town.

La Kiva -   Fine dining and libations in an underground atmosphere.  La Kiva is the legendary cave bar in the heart of Terlingua, Texas!  25 years of great music, cold beer, stout drinks and award-winning barbeque. Dr. Doug's Clinic on the Porch - Dr. Doug is Terlingua's resident borderline mental therapist.  He is famous for his Group Therapy Sessions on the Terlingua Trading Company Porch. He also hangs out at the High Sierra when not practicing his profession on the Porch. Thousands have claimed cures of unhappiness after attending the group therapy sessions on the porch.
